When going from glory to glory, there can be a desire to turn and face what was and miss what is becoming. Mixed Glory represents the process of God that He takes us through and the relationship we can experience with growing pains. We will experience the death of the old as the new begins to grow and replace it. This piece is a reminder to me and the viewer that the old, even when once beautiful, is now gone, and the new, though young and unknown, bears the treasure that we are looking for.

Innocence is a collaboration with my young daughter and an ode to the innocence of girlhood redeemed in my adulthood. With a mixed medium of items that represent my childhood, that transition into my adulthood, and now my daughter’s childhood, a full circle of redeemed innocence comes in to play on the canvas in this piece.
